The only path forward is for Archbishop Aymond to leave Second Harvest entirely so that it may continue to operate as an independent non-profit.

Make a call: Supporters are urged to express their concerns directly to the Archdiocese of New Orleans and other Louisiana Diocese whose residents will be negatively impacted by the church’s intended actions by calling:
- Archdiocese of New Orleans 504-861-6200

It has always been about the money: Archbishop Aymond, the bottom line is the money. There was never any problem with the tolling agreement, and no one is contending that the food bank was not doing a great job of feeding people. The summary firing of the food bank leadership was a pretense for attempting to gain access to food bank money.
Not a “buy-out”: Presenting this as a “buy-out” is ridiculous. Archbishop Aymond, you don’t own the Food Bank. It’s so illogical that it is hard to wrap our heads around it. You are suggesting that the food bank must buy itself? And use money donated to feed people to accomplish it?
Efficiency, integrity, and accountability: Second Harvest Food Bank has been a shining example of all of these qualities for decades. It is the best example of functional philanthropy, one of the best-known and best-regarded food banks in the country. Archbishop Aymond, you must know by now the impact of your actions upon the food bank’s integrity, operations, and long-term ability to feed people.
